A man says he accidentally shot himself during target practice Saturday in York.
A doctor with Carolinas Medical Center-Charlotte called deputies after the man, whose age is not listed but has a Charlotte address, arrived at the emergency room with a single gunshot wound to his foot, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
The man said he had been shooting for target practice with his boss on Mission Road in York.
As the two passed the gun between them, the gun discharged, the report states. The patient was treated and released.

Deputies couldn’t locate the exact place of the shooting or the boss, according to the report.
