The York Comprehensive High School boys golf team participated in tournament play at two locations last week.
The Cougar team linksmen visited Pine Tuck Golf Course in Rock Hill, site of the Stallion Invitational Tournament hosted by South Pointe High School.
The varsity Cougars finished fourth in the nine-team field with a team score of 331.
Leading the way was Luke Lancaster with a 76 score for the 18-hole event and third place overall in the 54-golf field.

Other scoring for the Cougars included: Austin Hall, 81; Daley Ballard, 86; Logan Aggeles, 88; Aaron Duncan, 96; and Zack Faulkenbury, who shot 101.
The four-man jayvee team finished second in the four-man field, with a 192 cumulative score.
Both Chandler Sain and Damon Heath finished at 96 to lead the younger cats, with Seth Miller’s 106 and Andrew Roderick’s 118 supporting the jayvee effort.
On Saturday, the black and grey made the journey to Greenwood and the Star Fort Golf Course for the Tee-Off Classic hosted by Ninety Six High School.
The Cougars finished ninth in the 18-team field with a team score of 331.
Austin Hall made his presence felt with a 77 total, including an eagle three on the par five hole number eight.
Hall finished tied for 11th in the 108-golfer field. Lancaster was next for the Cougars with an 83 total, followed closely by Aggeles at 84. Ballard shot 87 and Stroud Baker finished at 101.
