A York man says someone burned one of his deer stands to the ground Monday evening, causing hundreds of dollars in damage.
The 47-year-old said the arson occurred sometime between early last week and Monday, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. The suspect entered his land near Kay’s Drive in York and burned the homemade deer stand, completely destroying it.
Damage was estimated at $400, the report states.
The man said in the past he has had issues with people hunting on the land, the report states. He asked deputies to keep a check on the land over the next several weeks.
