Harassment reported outside York women's shelter

Police are investigating reports of a man harassing a women’s shelter, according to a York Police report.

Officers were called to Tender Hearts Ministries’ women’s shelter at 511 Kings Mountain Road around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Women there told police a man jumped over a fence to come near the shelter and began yelling at them from outside, the report states.

The women said the same type of incident, involving the same suspect, happened earlier in the week. Victims could not provide a detailed description, but said the man left in a silver truck, according to reports.

Police could not locate the suspect, but agreed to patrol the area more frequently.
