York woman accused of breaking into prisoner's home

Katie Miranda Adkins, 25, was charged with second-degree burglary, grand larceny and criminal conspiracy last week while she was already serving time for forgery, public disorderly conduct and receiving stolen goods. She is booked at the Moss Justice Center on a $15,150 bond.

The homeowner told police that when he returned to his York home from prison, he found that it had been ransacked, with multiple items stolen from him and beer cans scattered everywhere, according to a York County Sheriff’s report.

The homeowner said his boss checked on the house earlier and found three people inside. They told the man they had permission to be there, but the homeowner told police they did not.

Police are still following leads and have issued a warrant for one other burglar.
