York County GOP reopens candidate filing for Council District 3

The York County Republican Party will reopen candidate filing for York County Council District 3 Thursday for a half day.

Interested candidates can file with party officials from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at Popes at the White House Restaurant, 1712 York Highway in York across from the Moss Justice Center.

Candidates must file the following documents, according to a release from the York County GOP:

A Statement of Intention of Candidacy (SIC), 3 copies, found at www.scvotes.org under candidate information and filing forms.

Party Pledge, found at www.scgop.com/filing

A Statement of Economic Interests form (SEI), which must be filed online at ethics.sc.gov.

Candidates who do not have a hard copy of their completed online SEI form will not be able to file. A candidate’s name may not appear on the ballot if the SEI form isn’t filled out correctly, the release says.

Each candidate must pay a filing fee of $320.22.
