A York woman will be arrested and charged with arson when she’s released from the hospital where she’s being treated for injuries received in a fire authorities say she set.
Nancy Christine Ramsey, 48, will be charged in connection with a house fire at her home in York on Monday, York County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Trent Faris said.
Sheriff’s deputies were responding to a call about a domestic disturbance at the home when they received a follow-up message that someone had set fire to the place, according to a sheriff’s report.
Deputies arrived to find the residents standing out front while Ramsey remained inside.

“I could see heavy smoke coming from inside the residence,” a deputy wrote.
Firefighters managed to get in the home and bring Ramsey outside, according to the report. She was taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
It’s not clear how much damage the fire caused.
