CHS Robotics team competes well
CLOVER Clover High School Robotics team took part in two recent competitions.
They competed Feb. 27-March 1 at Myrtle Beach in the Palmetto Regionals finishing in the top third.
The team also competed at the Peachtree Regionals March 27-29 in Atlanta making it to the semi-finals, but were eliminated in the second round.
Clover Choraliers announce spring show
CLOVER The Clover High School Choraliers will have their spring show, Monty Python’s “Spamalot,” May 1, 3 and 4 at the Clover School District Auditorium.
Times are 8 p.m. May 1 and 3, and 3 p.m. May 4. Tickets are $7 each and are available at the Clover School District Auditorium box office.
Box office hours are noon to 6 p.m. April 24, 25, 28, 29 and 30, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26. The box office also will be open two hours before show time on May 1.
The Choraliers, a more than 100-member auditioned choir, are 10-time first-place winners of the South Carolina Choral Concert Festival, and have performed for S.C. State Administrators Conference, S.C. School Board Conference, the National Education Association S.C. Conference, the governor of South Carolina and with The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
CHS ROTC plans leadership camp
CLOVER The Clover High School Air Force JROTC will hold a week-long Leadership and Adventure (LEAD) camp July 14 to 18 for rising sixth- to ninth-grade students.

YouLead applications accepted
YORK COUNTY Applications for the 2014-2015 Youth Leadership York County (YouLead) program are available to sophomores and juniors at any York County high school.
The youth leadership program, a joint effort of the chambers of commerce of York County, is an eight-month experience for students at public and private schools. YouLead participants meet local and state government officials, tour area businesses and volunteer with York County service agencies.
Applications are available at yorkcountychamber.com, on the Youth Leadership York County Facebook page (facebook.com/youleadyork), or through any chamber office in York County.
Completed applications must be submitted to the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce by April 30. Finalists may be invited to participate in an interview process. All applicants will be notified of their status by June 1.
Only 18 to 20 students will be selected and those who accept a place in the program will pay a small fee.
The chambers of commerce of York County are made up of the York County Regional Chamber, along with the Greater Clover, Greater York, and Lake Wylie chambers. The 2014-2015 program is sponsored by various local businesses including Comporium Communications, Williams & Fudge and the city of Rock Hill.
