An 18-year-old York man found a burglar in his home last week, according to a York Police report.
The teen told police he was supposed to go to a party with his parents in Rock Hill on Sept. 27, but stayed home to sleep.
He woke up after 11 p.m. and found a man wearing a red shirt and stockings over his face burglarizing his parents’ room. The burglar hit the victim in the face with a metal object, pushed him to the ground and ran from the house, the report said.
The suspect is believed to have stolen more than $5,000 in jewelry and other property. The suspect fled the area with another suspect who was waiting outside, the police report states. The case is under investigation.
