Woman faces 4th DUI after York arrest

A 25-year-old woman has been charged with drunk driving for the fourth time, after a York Police officer suspected her of driving under the influence, according to a York Police report.

The woman, identified as Brittany Mae Mueller of Rock Hill, pulled into the Exxon On the Run gas station on Alexander Love Highway around 2 a.m. Oct. 11. She was observed by an officer to have improperly parked her vehicle.

Mueller reportedly stumbled when leaving the black Honda Civic and appeared to nearly fall into a rack of merchandise in the store, the report states. The officer confronted her as she got back into the car and observed she had glassy eyes and appeared to be intoxicated, the report states.

Mueller admitted to drinking two beers at a bonfire, the report states. She also purchased a 32-ounce Budweiser Platinum beer at the store, according to the report.

Mueller failed several sobriety tests and told the officer through tears that she had several previous DUI convictions, according to the report. Records show Mueller has been convicted of drunk driving on three different occasions.

Mueller was arrested and taken to jail, where she was tested and found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent, nearly twice the legal limit. She faces a fourth charge of driving under the influence.
