CLOVER -- The town of Clover raised a couple of fees on Monday, but residents should feel minimal impact.
The town increased monthly landfill charges for residential users from $6.30 to $7.30, effective immediately. The new landfill fee stems from a hike passed to Clover from York County, said Mayor Donnie Grice.
Also on Monday, the town increased the Larne Building's rental fees by $25.
The in-town rate is now $300, and rate for non-Clover residents is $400. The deposit has been increased from $100 to $150.

"With the rising costs of everything, we're being forced to do this," said Grice, who added that the town has only raised Larne's rental rate one other time.
The new rental fee begins Dec. 31, so all bookings prior to the end of the year will fall under the old rate.
