CLOVER -- Mrs. Suzanne S. Kirsh of 105 Bellwood Drive died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009.
Service was Feb. 25, 2009, at Temple Emanuel in Gastonia, N.C., by Rabbi Charles Brown. Interment followed at Gaston Memorial Park. T
Mrs. Kirsh, a native of Manhattan in New York, N.Y., was born Aug. 13, 1930 and has lived in Clover for the past 59 years. She was a guide at the Governor's Mansion for over 25 years and served on the Council of Aging for York County. When her children were small, she was a Cub Scout Leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sylvia Huffman Selikowit; a sister, Phyllis Yeskel; and two sons, Bruce and Larry Kirsh.
Survivors are her husband, Rep. Herb Kirsh of the home; and sons, Kevin Kirsh of Clover, S.C., and Michael Kirsh of the home.

CLOVER -- Hylah "Heidi" Elizabeth Johnson, 31, of Clover, S.C., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009.
A memorial service was held Feb. 23, 2009, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ann Parrott officiating.
Heidi was born April 14, 1977, in Rock Hill, S.C., to Joe S. and Bobbie L. Johnson. She was a graduate of Clover High School and attended Winthrop University. She was the body shop manager at Dunlap-Johnson Chevrolet in York.
Heidi was the assistant district governor Area 5 for Rotary International, past president of York Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. She was a member of the York Chamber of Commerce, Leader of Girl Scout Troop 468 and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
In life, Heidi was guided by a giving spirit and an immeasurable love for her family, friends and community.
Survivors are her daughter, Hylah Ann Miller; son, Caleb Allen Blanks; parents, Joe S. and Bobbie L. Johnson; brothers, Joe Stanton Johnson II and Matthew L. Johnson and his wife, Jennifer; and nieces, McKenna and Mattie Johnson, all of Clover.

PROSPERITY -- Mrs. Judy Jackson, 62, of 498 Edgewater Drive, Prosperity, died Feb. 19, 2009, at home.
Funeral services were held Feb. 22, at Clover Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Woodside Cemetery in Clover.
Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Clover High School and the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She had been a social worker for Vocational Rehabilitation, antique dealer and a retired social studies teacher at MidCarolina High School. She was a member of the Newberry County Retired Educators Association and Prosperity Literary Sorosis. Her favorite past times were reading, traveling and antiquities. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Leonard Jackson; mother, Margaret Buice Jackson Woods; sons, Jay (Melissa) Jackson, Jeff (Happy) Jackson; and grandchildren, Colby, Jayden, Mason and Summer Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe L. Jackson; brother, Joel F. Jackson; and stepfather, Robert Woods.

SHARON -- John F. Sherer Jr., 51, of 2480 Sunset Meadow Lane, Sharon, S.C., died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at home.
A memorial service was held Feb. 21, 2009, at Sharon ARP Church, with the Rev. Tom Sherer officiating.
Mr. Sherer was the son of the late John F. "Frank" Sherer Sr. and the late Nancy Wilkerson Sherer. He was the owner and operator of Sherer's Tree Farm in Sharon. He was a member of the Gaston Central Branch YMCA and a supporter of the Museum of Western York County.
Survivors are his sisters, Gail Wiedemeyer of St. Simons, Ga., Patricia Sherer and Jeanie Sherer, both of Sharon and Linda Sherer of Atlanta, Ga.

LAKE WYLIE -- Mr. Jack Edward Wysor, 54 of 300 Forbes Court, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at the home of his father.
