The sixth of 21 Thursday Night Tournament Trail events before the championship yielded good results. In a field of 44 boats, 25 weighed in.
“The fishing was pretty good Thursday night,” said event co-organizer Erwin Gaston. “The bigger fish are still hiding, but most everyone caught fish.”
Nate Williams and Jon Eisenhour took first place with 14.69 pounds, followed by the father-son team of Rob and Matt Johnson with 14.46 pounds.
The trail continues Thursdays through Aug. 30 with sign-ups from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area. Blast off is at 6:30 p.m. with weigh-in at 11 p.m. The championship event will be held Sept. 7-8.
