Fall festival Saturday

STEELE CREEK -- Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 York Road, will hold its Community Harvest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be food and beverage concessions, arts and crafts, inflatables and a pumpkin patch. Call (704) 588-0686.

Financial seminar Saturday

LAKE WYLIE -- River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton's Ferry Road, will hold a one-day Crown Financial Management Seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18. Race for local family set

CLOVER -- First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel St., will hold a Benefit 5K Race for Lee Killian on Oct. 18 in Clover.

The event includes a 5K run and a 5K stroller division, with all proceeds going to the Killian Medical Fund. Lee was severely injured last year in an automobile wreck.

The registration fee is $15 for participants age 13 and older, and $12 for children 12 and younger or adults 65 and older. E-mail for info.

FORT MILL -- Lake Wylie Lutheran Church invites ladies, teens through adult, to share a light lunch at noon and hear Vonda Skelton on Nov. 1 at Ascension Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 1225 E. Morehead St., Charlotte.
