Lake Wylie Music Fest June 8
LAKE WYLIE Lake Wylie boaters can anchor and listen to the music for one day only as Lake Wylie Music Fest returns this summer June 8.
Jan Pendleton, along with husband Jon and friends Paul Noble and Caroline Boatright, launched the fest in 2010, with concerts at “The Cow Cove” in the back of Boyd’s Cove.
Performers set up on a beach stage at a private residence playing to an audience of as many as 150 boats. The show is accessible by boat only.
The music line-up includes regional acts, including “American Idol” contestant Josh Sanders of Kannapolis, N.C.
Boaters are challenged to decorate their boats, and prepare special food and drink to celebrate the fest. A panel of floating judges will award trophies.
