Thunderstorms stayed away June 5 for good night of fishing on Lake Wylie.
“The weatherman was calling for thunderstorms, and at times it looked like we may get wet again this week,” said Thursday Night Tournament Trail co-organizer Erwin Gaston, “but it turned out to be a good night to fish.”
Larry Fleeman and Greg Pope brought five fish to the scales that weighed in at 15.69 pounds to take the win in a field of 33 teams.
Father-son team Russ and David Winters had a close second with five fish that weighed in at 15.12 pounds.
