Lions Dist. Gov. 32D Rick Pressly, left, on Oct. 10 gave River Hills Lion Club president Lee Rowley the “Spot” Pedia-Vision camera.
Last October, as part of the World Sight Day event with Gov. Nikki Haley, River Hills club members previewed the innovative technology capable of screening children’s eyes to identify for six potential problems.
“This means we’re able to screen kids 6 months up,” aid Lion Peggy Upchurch. “If there are any churches, day care centers, or community groups that would like to be screened, get in touch with us.”
The club was able to purchase two “Spot” cameras thanks to a check from the River Hills Lions Foundation and a matching grant from the Lions International Foundation.
