OMS seventh-grade volleyball ends season on win


• The Oakridge Middle eighth grade football team lost 26-0 to Gold Hill Wednesday, Oct. 15. Gold Hill dominated the time of possession, keeping Oakridge’s defense on the field most of the game.

•  The seventh grade volleyball team had a rocky start against Clover Middle Oct. 17. Losing the first set 25-10, the Lady Golden Eagles fought back to win the second two sets, 25-19 and 16-14.

had excellent pass control. Despite the rough start, the Lady Golden Eagles played well and brought their regular season to a close with a win.

•  The eighth grade Golden Eagles volleyball team lost two of three sets to Clover Middle School Oct. 16. The girls won the first set 25-17. In the second set, the team got off to a slow start, but fought back to tie it up 23-23. Clover took the win with a score of 25-23. In the final set, Oakridge’s team lost 15-8.
