WINNING ANGLERS: Brian Travis of Conover, N.C., left, won the boater division and the $5,000 prize at the March 29 American Bass Angler Bassmaster Weekend Series on Lake Wylie, held at South Point Access in Belmont. Travis brought in a total of weight of 18 punds, 74 ounces with a big fish at 5 pounds, 59 ounces. This year marks Carolina Anglers Team Trail's 10th year. To make it special, first place at the Spring Finals will be $2,500 and first place at the Fall Finals will be $2,000. Dates for the CATT on Lake Wylie are Saturday and April 26. The Spring Final will be held May 17. Events are planned to launch from Buster Boyd Access. A bass fishing tournament to benefit the Victory Junction Gang will be held April 19 on Lake Wylie. Tournament begins at safe light with weigh-in at 3 p.m., both at Buster Boyd Access. Cost is $160 per boat and can include two anglers. For more information, call (704) 860-5486.
The Lake Wylie Division tournament of the Southern Anglers Challenge Series announces, because of scheduling conflicts, the tournament scheduled for April 19 will be moved to the next day, Sunday, April 20, launching from Buster Boyd Access.
