4-H invites youth to learn how to protect animals

YORK -- 4-H Youth In Action participants will learn about animal protection and cruelty prevention from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24-25 at 120 N. Congress St.

Participants, ages 7th to 10th grade, will explore policy issues such as the chaining of animals and meet with today's York County leaders to learn about current pet protection challenges, as well as ways to become leaders in protecting York County's animals through a service project experience.

Participants must fill out a 4-H event permission form and pay a $5 program fee.

'Fireproof' study to begin

LAKE WYLIE -- Pine Grove Baptist Church, 5415 Hwy. 557, invites adults to a Sunday morning Bible study based on the movie "Fireproof" at 10:45 a.m. Sundays, and Sunday evenings beginning June 28.

Divorce care classes meet

LAKE WYLIE -- Pine Grove Baptist Church, 5415 Hwy. 557, divorce care classes meet 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays, with child care provided.

Pine Grove Christian Academy is accepting applications for summer camp program for ages 4-12. Summer camp begins June 8.

Register for CBS

Community Bible Study is registering for the fall study in the Clover/Lake Wylie area.

CBS is an interdenominational Bible study group open to all women of all faiths and all knowledge levels. CBS meets from 9:10 to 11:10 a.m. Wednesdays, beginning Aug. 26 at River Hills Community Church. This year's study will be the book of Revelation.

A Children's Ministry Program is available for ages 2 to 4 and a nursery for infants to age 2.
