Eastwood Homes expands market
CHARLOTTE Eastwood Homes, a privately held Charlotte-based builder, will open three new communities this spring, including one in Steele Creek.
At the Village of Selkirk in Berewick, lots were sold starting in December. The developer is Pappas Properties.
Berewick has boat access to Lake Wylie and is minutes from Charlotte Premium Outlets. Amenities include the 5,200-square-foot clubhouse, a fitness center, Junior Olympic swimming pool, and miles of walking and biking trails. Eastwood Homes offers single-story homes, first-floor master plans, 2- and 3-story homes starting in the mid $200s. Construction on the model home is nearing completion.

Eastwood Homes is taking reservations in Robinson Oaks, a community off Hudson Boulevard in Gastonia priced in the mid $200s. Efforts also are underway in Kellswater Bridge, a master-planned 400-acre community in Kannapolis, N.C.

Home-buying workshop March 10
FORT MILL Family Trust Federal Credit Union will hold a free home buying workshop at 6:30 p.m. March 10 at 430 Mercantile Place.
Learn about credit score minimums to qualify for a mortgage, conventional, FHA, USDA and VA loans and the difference between fixed and adjustable rates. Handouts will be provided.
The workshop is part of “Know Your Dough: Inspiring Financial Freedom,” a money management series conducted monthly through April.
