City Tavern is coming to Fort Mill.
Formerly The Mill Eatery & Drafthouse, the 501 Crossroads Plaza location soon will open as City Tavern.
City Tavern has two locations, in the RiverGate shopping center in the Steele Creek area of south Charlotte and in Waxhaw, N.C. Menus include steaks, seafood and pasta dishes. Entrees range about $15 to $25. The restaurants serve brunch, lunch and dinner. They’re open by 11 a.m. daily, with the bar closing at 2 a.m.
Krania LLC out of Statesville, N.C., bought the Crossroads Plaza property in 2000. The company owns and manages multiple restaurants. Property manager Andreas Kazakos believes the experience brought by City Tavern staff will serve the location well.
“They’re good operators,” he said. “They do a good job. They’re going to make it.”
The site, at the corner of S.C. 160 West and Gold Hill Road, has been several restaurants previously. Most recently it was The Mill Eatery & Drafthouse, and Fishbone Grille before that.
