The Nation Ford girls and boys track team competed against Northwestern last week and represented strong for their school in all events despite being defeated.
"Our boys and girls lost to a great team," said girls head coach Abby Beard. "Even though we lost the meet, our athletes had some great performances."
Stephanie Shull threw her longest distance in discuss with an 84'3" finish. The team's distance runners were able to drop 20 seconds off their times resulting in personal bests for several runners. Meredith Kilburn ran a 5.34 mile, Kevin Coleman finished 4.42 and Kevin Ketner finished his mile in 4.43.
"Those were amazing times for all of them," Beard added.

Aubrey Gunnels also ran her fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:18 and Audrey Ferguson ran her best time in the 200-meter with a time of 29.4 seconds.
"I was very proud of their efforts this past week," Beard said.
This week, Nation Ford will take on Fort Mill and Beard expects to see some exciting competition.
"Everyone is looking forward to this competition against some of their old teammates."
Beard added that she and the coaches would love to see Nation Ford defeat Fort Mill, but admits it will take everyone's best effort.
