The Fort Mill middle school girls lacrosse team won its very first game recently, 10-3 over the CHYLL middle school team from Huntersville at the Huntersville Athletic Park.
Bailey Masters had four turnovers and four ground ball controls. Claire Frase had two goals and an assist and Martha Scott produced eight turnovers. Allie Barilla, Halle Hillman, Perrin Thompson, Ali Simons and Kirsten Terry all scored their first goals.
The JV team also got its first win this week over Charlotte Catholic, 7-6 on the road. They were down by one with under two minutes remaining. They tied the score with 57 seconds remaining. Then took the face off and scored the go ahead goal with 30 seconds remaining.
