The Nation Ford High girls volleyball team remained undefeated after taking a close match from Northwestern last week 25-23, 25-21 and 25-23.
"I'm very proud of the girls," coach Grete Miller said. "Their hard work in practice is paying off."
Strong performances from the Lady Falcons included Ally Lambert's 14 kills, Sara Bebeau's 12 kills and Heather Gerhart's five kills. Heather Hammond was the team's strongest server that night with three aces and Sheila Walsh and Morgan Wolf led the team in assists.
Last Thursday night, Nation Ford ran its record to 6-0 with a win against Gaffney in three games. Game one ended with a score of 25-16, followed by 25-21 in game two and a convincing 25-13 win in game three.

Powerful performances came from Bebeau, who had nine kills and three blocks, Ally Lambert with seven kills and seven aces, Morgan Wolf with 20 assists and Caroline Ficklen, who had 13 total digs.
"Other great plays were made by our senior defensive specialist Heather Hammond, middle hitter Heather Gerhart and strong server Makenzie Barbor," Miller said.
"They've come a long way since last season with speed, communication on the court and confidence. They are a much more confident team this season."
The Lady Falcons take on York at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
