New church offering classes
World Outreach Center Community Church, 130 Heritage Blvd., Fort Mill, is offering a series of classes for Christian artists and musicians.
Holy Creativity classes will meet Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Songwriting I and Tiffy's Art classes will meet Mondays at 8:05 p.m. The classes cost $150 each or two for $250. Also two free classes will be offered, Power of Prayer at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Equipping I at 8:05 p.m. Tuesdays.

Get the 'glow'
Aglow, a transdenominational organization or Christian women, meets 7-9 p.m. the fourth tuesday of each month at a private home in Regent Park. Aglow groups are in approximately 165 nations around the world with more than 1,400 local groups in the U.S. The heart of the organization is local fellowships. The Sisk Memorial Clothes Closet is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. every second and fourth Thursday at 118 Spratt St. in Fort Mill, next to the Sisk Memorial Family Life Center. Clothes for children and adults in need - jackets, sweaters, shoes, pants, skirts, etc., are available at no charge.

Higher Ground offers school programs
Higher Ground Church is accepting enrollments for its Preschool/Mother's Morning Out program. There are two-, three- and five-day programs to choose from. There are spaces available for children aged 2-5.
The program offers a Christian and HighReach Learning curriculum. HighReach Learning provides a rich learning environment to expand vocabularies, express creativity and explore, early math and science and socialization.
Also at Higher Ground, the Child Development Center offers an after school program for children in kindergarten though fifth grade. The program follows a Christian curriculum, provides structured homework time, games, sports and crafts. Space is limited.

Young Life of York County is at work with teens in the community, providing leaders to help them make wise decisions.
Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids' lives and giving them hope for tomorrow. ESL classes held
English-as-a-Second Language classes meet at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Fort Mill. Students are assessed and placed in a class based on their knowledge of English, from beginner to advanced. All classes are free and are for anyone who needs to learn to speak English. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) an international, nondenominational Christian organization, meets at First Baptist Church, 121 Monroe White St. in Fort Mill.
MOPS serves moms to make a difference in the lives of their families. Women with children ages infant through kindergarten meet twice each month from September through April. One group meets the first and third Fridays and a second group meets the second and fourth Fridays, both from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The meetings rotate between guest speakers and crafts projects. Childcare is provided.
