JV Jackets win two
After a whirlwind week, with three games in four days, the FMHS Yellow Jackets JV basketball team finished 17-4 for the season.
With road wins over Northwestern (37-32) and Gaffney, the Jackets returned home for the season finale against crosstown rival Nation Ford. The Jackets ran out of gas and fell to the Falcons by two points.
Riley McGillan had a team-high 14 Points, followed by Joshua McCoy with eight and Trent Butler's five. McGillan also led the team with 11 points in the 48-35 win over Gaffney.
FMMS basketball team wins
The Fort Mill Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team defeated Gold Hill 42-24. Riley Hilton was the top-scorer with 11 points. Denzel Scott chipped in eight.

Storm holds fundraiser
The 12U SC Storm will be holding a barbecue and silent auction fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 at the Field Trial Barn off Springfield Parkway in Fort Mill.
The SC Storm will be the eighth team from Fort Mill that has received an invitation to play in the Cooperstown Field of Dreams Tournament in Cooperstown, NY., June 13-20.
Youth hoop tryouts offered
The Carolina Ravens 12U, 13U and 14U Boys Basketball practice and tryouts will soon be underway.
