What gets a confection expert inspired?
"Cake truffle pops are decadent and the craze right now, so I have added those to my lollipop selections," said Bernice Benton of Fort Mill. "I like to personalize bouquets and baskets depending on the customer's preferences."
Benton was busy doing her most creative work for Mother's Day bouquets after tucking her young daughter into bed.
Bernice Benton lives in the Waterstone neighborhood near Tega Cay and spends her evenings making lollipop treats for others to enjoy. After working as a flight attendant and in the medical industry for many years, she became a stay-at-home mom and now enjoys that role along with her home business.

Eight years ago, Benton bought some candy molds and started experimenting with making chocolate candies.
Her friends and family enjoyed her homemade treats and appreciated all the time she took to create the chocolates. So with the encouragement of her husband, family and friends, she started making creative and detailed lollipops.
"I recently did Spiderman lollipops for a party and the chocolate-covered Oreo pops are still popular," Benton said. Cookie Monster pops are a longtime tradition for parties, but she has plenty of choices for children and adults. Mother's Day and Father's Day bouquets are a hit.
