Fort Mill woman robbed at home

In Fort Mill, just after midnight on Friday, a 24-year-old woman told police a man knocked on her door and robbed her of $20. He was pointing a black handgun at her arm and face, according to York County Sheriff's deputies.

The man asked for “Charlie,” then pointed the gun at a man in the house who was lying on the couch.

Small children were sleeping in the back bedroom, according to the report.

After taking the money, the armed robber left in a gold four-door Chevrolet Cavalier, witnesses told police.Multiple armed robberies reported in York County

Two more robberies happened hours apart in York County late Thursday and early Friday.

On Lige Street in Rock Hill, four people were on their way to visit a relative when two masked men held them at gunpoint. One of the robbers pointed his gun and said, “Give it up.” The other pointed his gun at a victim's chest and pulled the trigger twice, but the gun didn't go off.

Then the men began pulling people out of the car, saying “Give it up, it's Christmastime.”

A fight ensued until one of the suspect's masks was removed and one of the victims recognized him.

The suspect apologized and drove away. The victims were uncooperative with detectives, Rock Hill Police reported.
