Woman attacked at Fort Mill home
A Fort Mill woman told police she was assaulted early Saturday morning, leading to the arrest of her alleged attacker.Fort Mill Police have arrested a suspect, Vernon L. Nelson, 36, of 85 Reynolds St., Rock Hill, and charged him with criminal domestic violence, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.Police said the charges stem from a Jan. 16 dispute between Nelson man and the 24-year-old Fort Mill woman who made the complaint. The woman told authorities the man choked her and bit her hand during an argument at her home on Forest Ridge Drive around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, the report states. Police responded to the scene and arrested the suspect. The victim's injuries were minor, according to the report.
Fort Mill Police arrested a Fort Mill man who allegedly assaulted and threatened his wife, a Fort Mill Police report states.Police arrested 39-year-old Carlo Sanchez of 116 Dogwood Lane and charged him with criminal domestic violence.The charges are tied to a Jan. 6 incident in which Sanchez and his 37-year-old wife began arguing, according to the report. His wife told police that during the argument, Sanchez refused to let her leave their home and brandished a knife sharpener. Sanchez also allegedly told his wife during the incident that he had investigated hiring someone to either kill her or injure her and leave her disabled, the wife told police, according to the report.The victim eventually escaped the home and contacted police. Sanchez was later arrested and charged.
