The British are coming, and for soccer fans, that is a good thing.
The Liverpool FC of the Premier League will tour the United States next week and will hosta soccer camp at the Stateline Soccer Complex in Fort Mill.
Fort Mill is one of two places in the United States where the league is hosting camps, with the other being the Boston area, before playing AC Milan at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte Aug. 2.
The camp will take place July 28 through Aug. 1 at the Stateline facility. The camp will have morning and afternoon sessions for children and teens ages 5 to 16.
All activities will be overseen by Liverpool coaches and the program is intended to provide participants with the best possible environment to develop their games.
The camp will cover things like passing, running with the ball, exploiting space and striking.
Camp-goers will tackle skill challenges, compete in a small tournament, get individual feedback and take home several keepsakes, like a training ball, bag and signed certificate.
