The town on Wednesday rolled out a redesign of its website, fortmillsc.gov.
According to a release from the town, the redesign makes the site more accessible for mobile devices. New features include a section where tickets and citations can be paid, a calendar of events and How Do I tab where users can find answers to commonly asked questions.
The section for paying tickets and the calendar were both requested by residents, according to the town’s release.
Users will find more photos and video on the site, the town says.
Also new are links to the town’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, where updates and information are posted regularly.
The city spent approximately $13,000 on the new site design by GovOffice, a company that specializes in designing local government websites, according to the release. It’s the first redesign since the town first launched its website 10 years ago.
