Two containers at a construction site where a Hampton Inn is being built were broken into Oct. 10, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report. A variety of power tools and battery packs valued at approximately $4,000 were stolen, the report states.
In another incident, a home on Mendenhall Court was broke into on Oct. 14, according to a FMPD report.
The homeowner called police after noticing the rear, glasses door was shattered. Detectives who responded found a rock near the door frame that could have been used to smash the glass, the report states. Police also found a side gate outside the home had been damaged
Among the items that were reported stolen were a cameo pin valued at around $2,000. The burglars also stole several pieces of costume jewelry, the report states.
