Duval completes training
Abigail Duval recently graduated from Allen Tate Realtors’ Winning Edge training. Duval works in the company’s Fort Mill office. According to a company release, the curriculum includes the latest in national real estate trends, technology, license law, sales and marketing techniques, integrated with detailed information about the local real estate market.
Zippy Shell opens
Storage business Zippy Shell USA recently opened a new facility at 148 Flint Hill Road in Fort Mill.
The owners of the franchise are Mike and Cathy Osmera of Charlotte.
According to a company release, Zippy Shell delivers a self-storage container to the customer’s door, the customer takes one to three days to load it, then Zippy Shell picks it up and stores it in their secured, climate controlled facility. When the customer is ready, Zippy Shell returns the container.
Zippy Shell is different from other storage companies because the mobile unit is street licensed so it can be parked on public streets without worry of permits or fines, the company says.
LPL finalist for Tech Award
LPL Financial has been selected as a finalist in two N.C. Tech Awards categories, including CIO of the Year and Use of Technology in Finance and Banking, according to a company release.
The N.C. Tech Awards are presented by the North Carolina Technology Association and are the only statewide technology awards in North Carolina, recognizing companies and individuals that display excellence, innovation and leadership in technology. Winners will be announced at a gala on Nov. 6 in Raleigh.
“It is an honor to be nominated for two NC Tech Awards,” said Victor Fetter, chief information officer of Charlotte-based LPL Financial, which is building a new headquarters in Fort Mill.
Doctor holding food drive
Dr. Jonna Moreschi’s Oral Surgery Office at 2752 Pleasant Road Suite 104 in Fort Mill is collecting nonperishable food items for the Fort Mill Care Center. Items will be collected during normal business hours Monday through Friday until Nov. 14.
