It appears a prankster might be responsible for some incidents in a Fort Mill neighborhood this week.
A home on Mills Lane was burglarized sometime between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16, the homeowner told the York County Sheriff’s office, according to a Dec. 17 report. The homeowner said lawn equipment, including a $350 leaf blower and a weed cutter also valued at $350, were stolen from an unlocked garage. He also told a deputy that a Christmas wreath was left on his front porch.
Several hours after the deputy had come to the home to take a report, the complainant’s wife called the deputy to say that she found the stolen items in a neighbor’s yard, according to the report. She also said that other neighbors were talking about cars being broken into, music CDs removed and then swapped from one car to another.
