Fort Mill High senior Elizaveta Romanova was recently selected to participate in the 2018 Miss Teen Charlotte pageant in the Dana Auditorium at Queens University of Charlotte Feb. 25.
Romanova, 18, learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced its selections following interviewing in the Fort Mill area by this year's pageant coordinator. She will be competing for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants.
The pageant has four divisions: Junior Pre-teen (Ages 7-9), Pre-teen (Ages 10-12), Junior Teen (Ages 13-15) and Teen (Ages 16-20). Contestants will be competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear and each girl will display her personality and interviewing skills with the judging panel. Personality is the No. 1 aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.
Winners move on to the national Miss Teen Pageant in Orlando, where more than $30,000.00 in prizes and awards are at stake. Each qualifier enjoys an expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
