The Country Store on Gold Hill Rd. in Fort Mill sold a winning $250,000 scratch-off lottery ticket to a local man this week, according to the S.C. Education Lottery.
Lottery officials said “a local man” who declined to be identified bought the winning Jackpot ticket.
“I love playing the lottery,” he told lottery officials while awaiting his prize money, a news release from the agency stated Wednesday.
One top prize of $250,000 remains in the $250,000 Jackpot game. Tickets for the game cost $10 each. The odds of winning $250,000 are 1 in 696,000, according to the S.C. Education Lottery.

For selling the claimed ticket, Country Store in Fort Mill received a commission of $2,500.
