The Fort Mill Lady Jackets volleyball team will miss the playoffs this season despite playing better in the second half of the season.
Fort Mill finished 12-13 on the season and 5-7 in Region III after a loss to Gaffney in its last game of the season. The Jackets lost 3-2 (25-21, 27-25, 12-25, 15-25, 15-7) .
Head coach Gina Farley said her team played well toward the end of the season, and hates there won’t be a postseason for the Lady Jackets this year.
“To see how far they came and to have a team playing this strong not make the playoffs is hard,” she said. “A team like that deserves to make the playoffs. I hate it for the girls.”
