Lancaster Co. gunman accused of shooting man in head surrenders to police

A Lancaster man accused of shooting another man in the head at an apartment complex was arrested this week after surrendering to police.

The shooting was reported at the Foxwood apartment complex in Kershaw on Monday after deputies say a man suffered from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his head, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s news release.

Deputies on Monday identified Willie Lee Knox as a suspect in the shooting. On Wednesday, he turned himself in on warrants. He is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is held at the Lancaster County Detention Center.
