Police officers responding to complaints of brazen daytime drug dealing at Rock Hill’s Friedheim Park arrested a convicted felon Thursday after a bag of marijuana fell out of his shorts, according to a police report.
Kenneth Jeffrey McMullen, 27, of Orr Drive, who spent three years in prison for robbery and has past conviction for marijuana and cocaine, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and drug dealing near a park. He remains jailed on a $15,000 bond, jail officials said.
The park is located south of downtown Rock Hill in the Sunset park neighborhood, and several residents had complained about the drug use and dealing. Officers smelled the marijuana odor coming from McMullen and after getting consent to search him, the marijuana fell out of his shorts onto the ground. The eight grams of marijuana that fell out of McMullen’s shorts was packaged into 12 smaller bags, police said.
