A Rock Hill man was arrested after police say he was driving under the influence of alcohol with a sleeping 4-year-old in the backseat.
Joshua Whitlock, 28, was driving a gold 2013 Hyundai 16 mph over the speed limit on Saluda Street on Tuesday night, a police report states. The vehicle made a wide right turn on Arch Drive, almost striking the curb, and turned into a South Jones Avenue driveway, according to a police report.
Whitlock told the officer he had been drinking, the report states. He failed all of the sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.
Police did a records check and found Whitlock’s driver’s license was under suspension for multiple drug charges in the past.
