Several Carowinds employees said they were assaulted by a drunken man in a haunted maze at the park’s Halloween event, Scarowinds.
Kevin Bauer, 20, of Conway was accused of acting disorderly at a haunted maze Saturday at Scarowinds, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office. He allegedly assaulted two or three employees while walking through the haunted house, the report states.
They did not want to press charges, but he was asked to leave the park.
Officers say Bauer appeared intoxicated. They could smell the odor of alcohol on his breath, the report states. Bauer refused to leave, saying he paid admission and that he didn’t touch anyone. Police asked him repeatedly to exit the amusement park but Bauer continued to be boisterous, shouting at park security and guests, the report states.

When police tried arresting Bauer, he pulled his hands in front of him refusing to be handcuffed, the report states.
Bauer was taken to the York County Detention Center and charged with trespassing after warning, disorderly conduct and minor in possession of beer. He was released on a $1,150 bond Sunday afternoon.
