Rock Hill woman accused of assault with box cutter, pool cue

A Rock Hill woman was arrested and accused of assaulting another woman with a box cutter and a pool cue.

Rock Hill Police were dispatched to a Kimbrook Court residence Sunday afternoon in regards to an assault. The 24-year-old victim was sitting on her front porch with a bloody shirt, a bloody lip, swollen eyes and a towel wrapped around her right hand to stop the bleeding, a police report states.

The victim told officers she was assaulted with a box cutter by Kristal Jennings, 33, at Jennings’s Kimbrook Court home in Rock Hill.

Jennings told police the altercation may have started because the victim would not leave her property, arguing with her over her boyfriend, the report states. She couldn’t remember exactly why, but Jennings admitted she struck the victim with a pool cue during the fight, the report states. She denied knowing anything about the victim’s hand injury, the report states.

Pieces of the victim’s hair were found on the ground and porch of Jennings’s home, the report states. Police found a broken pool cue but could not locate the box cutter.

The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment, police say. Jennings was arrested and charged with assault and battery second degree. She was transported to the Rock Hill jail and was held until Monday morning when she was released on bail.
