A woman stole eight bags of frozen chicken from a grocery store by hiding them in her dress and purse, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
An employee from the Food Lion on Mount Gallant Road told police Saturday that a woman left the meat department with several items in her cart, the report states. The employee turned down an aisle and observed the woman stuffing numerous bags of frozen chicken wing drummettes under her dress and into her purse, the report states.
Once she realized she had been seen, the thief left her cart ad walked towards the exit. She left the grocery store in a white Honda Accord where another woman was sitting in the driver’s seat, the report states.
As she reached the vehicle, she bent the license plate so the employee could not write down the numbers, police say.
