Police: Rock Hill man burglarized friend’s home to steal DVD player

A Rock Hill man is accused of breaking into a friend’s home to steal a DVD player.

A 62-year-old man told police that on Friday morning, he picked up Marc Coyer, 33, to take him to DUI court. They stopped at a friend’s residence on Whispering Pines Drive so the driver could get some work done on his vehicle, the report states.

Coyer was seen standing inside the victim’s shed. He then walked towards the back door of the residence, and the victim believes Coyer forced his way inside, where he allegedly stole a DVD player, the report states.

Coyer was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with burglary third degree. He is being held at the York County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
