A Fort Mill man allegedly spit in his girlfriend’s face and threatened police Saturday night.
Officers responded to a Coltharp Road residence Saturday evening where a 26-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend, Myreon Johnson, 25, and Ralph Wilson, 62, both of Fort Mill, were yelling at each other, according to a Fort Mill Police report.
Police reportedly saw Johnson with both of his hands around Wilson’s throat, yelling “I’m going to [expletive] kill you.”
An officer tackled Johnson to the ground and Wilson then threatened to kill Johnson, the report states.
When police asked Wilson to stop making threats, he reportedly told the officer, “You’re just going to have to take me to jail.” He was arrested as well.
Johnson then began yelling expletives at police, the report states.
The woman tried to calm him down and talk to him, but Johnson allegedly cleared his throat and spit in her right eye.
When police took Johnson to the patrol car, he reportedly asked an officer, “Who’s going to protect your family when you’re gone?” This was followed by more expletives.
The woman told police that Johnson had been drinking since returning home from work and didn’t mean any of it, the report states.
Johnson reportedly told police “I’ve got something for you and your family, just you wait.” Then, Johnson allegedly spat on the shield separating him from the officer, the report states.
Johnson was charged with assault and battery third degree, criminal domestic violence first offense, and threatening the life of a public official. Johnson made bail by Tuesday morning.
Wilson was charged with assault and battery third degree. Wilson made bond over the weekend.
