A Rock Hill man allegedly tried to steal boots from Walmart on Tuesday evening by putting them on and trying to leave the store.
Brandon Hudson, 28, went to the shoe section in the Walmart on Dave Lyle Blvd. and put the boots, valued at nearly $50, on his feet, according to a Rock Hill police report. He put the shoes he had been wearing in in the empty shoe box. An employee watched him and reported him, the report states.
Hudson was taken into custody and transported to the Rock Hill city jail, where police found he was in possession of marijuana and a pipe.
He was charged with shoplifting and possession of marijuana.
