Police: Men present pistol, threaten Fort Mill couple about flim flam incident

Two men allegedly pointed a pistol and threatened a Fort Mill man whose wife was a victim of a flim flam case last summer, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

A 41-year-old man told police he was doing construction work on Herrons Ferry Road Tuesday morning when the other men drove up in a Toyota Camry.

The men exited the vehicle and one of them pointed what appeared to be a 9mm pistol at the man, police say. The suspects said the man’s wife needed to drop the police report she filed on Aug. 26 about a flim flam incident and then they left.

Previously, the victim’s wife responded to an ad selling a vehicle. The scammer in that incident wanted the money upfront before the vehicle could be shipped from California. She gave the money, but the vehicle was never delivered, the report states. All communications to the seller have been ignored.

Rock Hill Police are actively investigating the incident.
