A Clover High School student was charged with disturbing schools after threatening to bring a weapon to school on social media, deputies say.
Cody Ronan, 17, was arrested after he said he was going to school “strapped” on his Facebook page, a York County Sheriff’s Office report states. Deputies were notified on Wednesday morning about the comments.
Ronan was apparently upset about something someone had said about him.
During the investigation, school officials looked through Ronan’s school-issued laptop and found he had attempted to sell marijuana to a middle school student through email. The school is holding a hearing to discuss Ronan’s computer use violations.
