Rock Hill police are investigating a grand larceny case of a 28-year-old Charlotte woman who is accused of borrowing and not returning a heart monitoring device from a local doctor’s office.
The doctor’s office reported the theft on Thursday morning, saying their patient has had the medical equipment since Nov. 12 and was supposed to have returned it by Nov. 13, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The heart monitoring device is valued at $2,500. Representatives with the Metrolina Medical Associates office in Rock Hill told police that they have tried to contact the patient multiple times since Nov. 13 to reclaim the loaned equipment.
On Thursday, police tried to call the woman but could not reach her, the report states. The case is under investigation.
